Nicknames

Hide your name with a nick, a rank display and a skin.

Open the menu

Type /nick or use the name tag item in the lobby. The menu lets you switch the nick on or off, pick a random name, reuse your last one, and choose the rank and skin shown with it.

Quick commands

Custom names

Players with gate.nick.custom can type their own name with /nick <name>: 3 to 16 letters, digits or underscores. A name that someone already uses is refused.

Limits

• You can take 6 new names per day (the server setting nick.daily_limit), unless you hold gate.nick.unlimited.
• By default you can change a nick only while you are in a lobby. gate.nick.anywhere lifts that.
• /nick reset always works, even if you lost the permission.

Joining rounds nicked

The nick menu has a switch for entering game rounds with your nick. Turned off, your nick pauses when you join a round and comes back when you return to the lobby.

For staff

/realname <nick> shows who hides behind a nick, for players online right now. /nickpool manages the names and skins used for random nicks. All nick commands
